Is vaginal hysterectomy still considered to be associated with the lowest morbidity? Will the rate of laparoscopic hysterectomies continue to increase? Is a vaginal hysterectomy chosen over a laparoscopic or abdominal approach inspite of the fact that laparoscopic surgery is associated with shorter length of stay, faster recovery and fewer postoperative infections?
